ABOUT YOUR DECAL
All of our decals are cut from a quality outdoor
vinyl that has a rated life expectancy of five
to seven years in ideal conditions. These decals
are designed to be applied to any flat,
non-porous surface.
There are 3 layers to your decal. The top layer
is the transfer tape and is used to correctly
position and apply the decal. The middle layer
is the decal itself and the bottom layer is the
paper release backing.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Prior to applying your decal, the surface must
be completely clean and free of oils, wax,
rain-x or other substances that may prevent the
decal from adhering properly. Allow the surface
to dry completely. Denatured or Rubbing alcohol
work well on most surfaces. Standard glass
cleaners can be used on glass.
DECAL APPLICATION
Lay the decal (with transfer tape and backing
intact) onto the desired surface. Align the
decal where you want to apply it and secure it
in place by running masking tape along one edge.
Fold the decal toward the taped side so that the
backing is facing you. Carefully begin removing
the backing at the sharpest angle possible,
making sure the vinyl decal is coming off the
backing and remaining on the transfer tape. If
the decal remains on the backing, work backward
and firmly press the transfer tape against the
decal and continue backing removal. As you are
removing the backing, use your fingers to rub
the transfer tape and decal against the surface.
Once the entire backing is removed and you have
rubbed the decal onto the surface with your
fingers, use a plastic putty knife or credit
card to firmly work the decal onto the surface.
This will release the pressure sensitive
adhesion properties of the vinyl. Be sure to
leave the transfer tape in place while doing
this so as not to damage the vinyl. You may now
remove the transfer tape by slowly peeling
it back at a sharp angle. Watch carefully to
make sure no parts of the decal come off with
the tape. If this happens, simply lay the tape
back down and firmly rub with your plastic putty
knife or credit card again and continue peeling
the tape off. You are now done with your
application.
AIR BUBBLES
If you experience air bubbles, a small pin or
needle may be used at the edge of the bubble.
Use your finger to work the air toward the pin
hole. Small bubbles may disappear after 1-2
weeks as the vinyl breathes. We do not recommend
using a pin or needle on metallic or specialty
vinyl as these vinyl do not heal themselves as
well.
DECAL APPLICATION TIPS
Vinyl decal application is not terribly
difficult, but it is best to work carefully &
slowly. Once applied, vinyl decals can not be
repositioned, so please take your time. It is
also critical that decals be applied between 60
& 80 degrees fahrenheit. Too cold and the vinyl
will not properly adhere. Too hot and the vinyl
may experience many unwanted air bubbles.
IMPORTANT NOTE:

damaged during application, or decals that are
improperly applied. Please take your time and
